Running Away with the Circus: A Spectacular Evening at The America Crown Circus - Oct 6, 2023

The excitement was palpable in Victoria as The America Crown Circus made its way to Mayfair Shopping Centre to present "Runaway With the Circus." With a promise of thrilling acts, jaw-dropping performances, and a dash of nostalgia, attending this circus was an experience I couldn't pass up considering I haven't been to a circus. I was excited to see what the fuss was all about.

The show was packed with kids and parents, creating a lively atmosphere with people everywhere. Stepping into the tent was a bit overwhelming at first, but the scent of cotton candy and popcorn filled the air, engaging my senses.

After finally securing a seat, we settled in to watch the show. It kicked off with an acrobat and dance team that displayed incredible talent, soaring through the air and captivating the audience. Following that, a contortionist graced the stage, showcasing her mind-boggling ability to contort her body into various positions, leaving me in awe.

During the 1.5 hours of the performance, a clown made an appearance to entertain and energize the crowd. Despite not being a fan of clowns, I found his humor surprisingly enjoyable. The sight of everyone cheering, yelling, and having fun was occasionally deafening but undeniably enjoyable. After enduring COVID lockdowns for so long, witnessing people revel in life again was a heartwarming experience.

The most exhilarating moments for me were when the laser man presented his dazzling light show, followed by an acrobatic aerialist woman who gracefully utilized a ribbon hanging from the ceiling for her performance. These acts were truly incredible and made the entire experience worthwhile.

What made the circus even more special was the realization that it was a family affair, with the performers being part of the fourth generation. Their remarkable talents were evident throughout the show.
